Most of these clubs also have ‘Greedy Girls’ nights
in their calendars. At these, the single males (who again must pay
a great deal for the privilege) outnumber the women by a factor of
three or more to one. I am greedy, but not indiscriminately gluttonous,
so this is neither my scene nor that of my several swinging partners.
It is therefore one aspect of the swing-scene on which I am unable
to report.
One couple in the very middle of the room looked as though South
Sea Islanders had glimpsed uncooked cottage loaves and, deciding
that they were gods, wrought giant idols in their shapes, but most
people here plainly looked after themselves. I was to discover that,
if swinging had no other benefits, it encourages vanity in its practitioners.

Towels did not cover much, though, inevitably, those
who had least reason to cover up wore them most carefully. At least
ninety percent of the people there had shaved their body hair. The
men had smooth chests, and both sexes had either removed pubic hair
altogether or sported little strips or mere pencil lines on their
bellies.
“Yeah. Just fashion, I think,” said Paul, “Some
people say it’s because cocks look bigger that way. Some people
say it’s for hygiene, though I’m not sure how it’s
more hygienic. You should try shaving your balls… not that
you… I mean, the hair grows in every direction…”
I said “Ah, poor dear.” I somehow felt less than sympathetic
towards men’s agonies in following fashion. |
